On Aug. 6, 2010, audiences and families of all ages will join Woody, Buzz and the rest of their favorite playtime pals when TOY STORY 3 comes to life in 2D on the IMAX dome at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History’s Omni Theater. Moviegoers will see, hear and experience this third installment of the blockbuster hit TOY STORY in a whole new, larger-than-life way that only IMAX can deliver. Digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® through proprietary IMAX DMR® technology, TOY STORY 3 An IMAX Experience will immerse guests in the TOY STORY world like never before.. With crystal clear images, laser-aligned digital sound and maximized field of view, IMAX provides the world’s most immersive movie experience.

“Motion pictures are just beginning to live up to their true potential of being this immersive experience—going from beyond black and white flickering images to fully immersive color high-definition,” says Tom Hanks, who provides the voice of Woody in “Toy Story 3.”  “You don’t even know where the real world starts and the fake world begins. And yet, none of that’s going to matter unless the story and the emotions that they allow us to become invested in something that we can recognize…isn’t it grand that the “Toy Story” films are such a great example of this power to deeply connect with an audience?”

TOY STORY 3 welcomes Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz (voice of Tim Allen) and the whole gang back to the big screen as Andy prepares to depart for college and his loyal toys find themselves in… daycare! These untamed tots with their sticky little fingers do not play nice, so it’s all for one and one for all as plans for the great escape get underway. A few new faces—some plastic, some plush—join the adventure, including Barbie’s counterpart Ken (voice of Michael Keaton), a thespian hedgehog named Mr. Pricklepants (voice of Timothy Dalton) and a pink, strawberry-scented teddy bear called Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear (voice of Ned Beatty). Directed by Lee Unkrich (co-director of “Toy Story 2” and “Finding Nemo”), produced by Pixar veteran Darla K. Anderson (“Cars,” “Monsters, Inc.”), and written by Academy Award®-winning screenwriter Michael Arndt (“Little Miss Sunshine”).  TOY STORY 3 is rated G.

Tickets for TOY STORY 3 are $10 for adults; $8 for children (2-12) and seniors (60+). Museum members receive a $3 discount. Advance tickets may be purchased online or by phone at 817-255-9540
