For over 66 years, Museum School has been a leader in informal science education. Whether the topic is dinosaurs, space, mammals, chemistry or physics, class curriculums and explorations are designed so that students can construct their own knowledge of the world through hands-on experiences. The engaging environments are supported by an enthusiastic teaching staff that supports the process and joy of learning through discovery.

In addition to its well-known preschool program, Museum School offers many exciting learning opportunities for school-age children who attend a traditional public or private school or who are home schooled. These informal, discovery-based classes feature various STEM-based science and history topics enhanced with specimens and artifacts from the Museum’s teaching collection when relevant, science investigations, creative activities and other hands-on explorations.

Classes are offered on various Fridays and Saturdays in October, November and December. Click on the above link to download the Fall 2017 Museum School class brochure which has the schedule, class descriptions, fees and the registration instructions and form.

For questions about any of the school-age classes, call 817-255-9333 or 817-255-9335, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 4 pm or send an Email to museumschool@fwmsh.org.
